Crypto.com Arena Bag Policy 2026 | No-Bag Rules Explained
Heading to a Lakers, Kings, or Sparks game — or a concert — at Crypto.com Arena in downtown LA? The official Crypto.com Arena bag policy is one of the stricter bag policies in the country, and it trips people up specifically because it bans the one thing most stadiums allow: clear bags. Here’s exactly what you need to know about gate rules, screening procedures, and what actually gets you through the door.
Quick Answer: Crypto.com Arena Bag Policy at a Glance

Official Policy Verification & Source Check
Official policy source: Crypto.com Arena official General Information & FAQ page (cryptoarena.com)
Source type: Official venue website
Last checked: September 2026
Confidence level: High
Important notes: This policy is unusual because it excludes clear bags entirely — a detail that surprises fans coming from stadiums where a clear bag is always the safe fallback. Double-check before assuming any bag, clear or not, will pass.
How We Check This Policy: At BagPolicyInfo, we pull bag rules directly from a venue’s own official page, and when a policy departs from the norm — like Crypto.com Arena banning clear bags outright — we call that out explicitly rather than letting readers assume standard clear-bag rules apply. We verify size thresholds and screening requirements against the source rather than aggregator summaries.
Official Crypto.com Arena Bag Policy Overview
The official Crypto.com Arena bag policy prohibits bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs, and camera bags entirely. The only standard allowance is a small clutch or wallet smaller than 5″ × 9″ × 1″, which is subject to security inspection. Medical and parental bags smaller than 14″ × 14″ × 6″ are permitted but must go through an X-ray machine screening. Guests who arrive with a bag larger than these allowances can rent a Binbox Locker, located adjacent to the Kobe Bryant Entrance next to the LA Kings Monument, using the Binbox app and its built-in payment platform.
What Makes This Crypto.com Arena Policy Different
Crypto.com Arena stands apart from most major venues by excluding clear bags from its allowed list entirely — at nearly every other NBA or NHL arena, a clear tote around 12″ × 12″ × 6″ is the standard safe choice under standard arena guidelines, but under the crypto arena clear bag policy rules, clear bags simply aren’t an option regardless of size or clarity. The clutch allowance (5″ × 9″ × 1″) is also noticeably smaller and more restrictively shaped than the small-clutch limits at comparable venues, which tend to allow more like 4.5″ × 6.5″ to 9″ × 6″ bags with more depth. The other major difference is how the venue handles oversized bags: rather than a staffed bag check window, Crypto.com Arena uses a self-service Binbox Locker app, meaning guests need a phone and the app installed rather than simply handing a bag to an attendant.
Allowed Bags and Crypto Arena Bag Size Limit Rules
To ensure you know what complies with the crypto arena bag size limit before arriving at the arena, review this side-by-side comparison table:
| Bag Type | Entry Status | Max Dimensions | Conditions & Requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small Clutches & Wallets | Allowed | Under 5″ × 9″ × 1″ | Non-clear permitted; subject to security inspection |
| Parental / Diaper Bags | Conditional | 14″ × 14″ × 6″ | Must accompany infant; requires X-ray lane screening |
| Medical & ADA Equipment | Conditional | 14″ × 14″ × 6″ | Medically necessary; requires X-ray machine screening |
| Clear Bags (Any Size) | Prohibited | Any size | Banned outright under venue rules |
| Standard Backpacks | Prohibited | Any size | Strictly prohibited; must use Binbox locker |
| Purses & Totes | Prohibited | Exceeding 5″ × 9″ × 1″ | Exceeding clutch limits; banned from entry |
| Fanny Packs & Slings | Prohibited | Any size | Not permitted inside the arena |
Clear Bags
Not applicable — clear bags are explicitly not permitted at Crypto.com Arena, regardless of size. This is a meaningful departure from the clear-bag standard used at most comparable arenas and stadiums, so leave your clear stadium totes at home.
Small Clutches and Wallets
Small clutches and wallets smaller than 5″ × 9″ × 1″ are permitted and go through security inspection. This is a tight allowance meant for essentials only — phone, ID, cash, and little else.
Backpacks, Purses, and Crossbody Bags
Standard backpacks, purses, totes, fanny packs, and camera bags are not allowed under any circumstances. There’s no size threshold that makes any of these acceptable.
Diaper, Medical, and ADA Exceptions
Medical and parental bags smaller than 14″ × 14″ × 6″ are allowed but require X-ray machine screening at designated entry points. Baby supplies specifically — plastic bottles, formula, and breast pumps — are permitted, though glass bottles are strictly banned.
Prohibited Bags and Items
- Standard Backpacks: Traditional backpacks, hiking packs, and knapsacks of any kind
- Oversized Purses & Totes: Purses, shoulder bags, and totes exceeding the 5″ × 9″ × 1″ clutch limit
- Clear Bags: Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC stadium bags of any size
- Fanny Packs & Slings: Waist packs, cross-body slings, and camera bags
- Glass Bottles: Glass baby bottles, jars, and outside glass containers
How Security Screening Works at Crypto.com Arena
Small clutches and wallets under 5″ × 9″ × 1″ go through standard security inspection at all entrances. Medical and parental bags under 14″ × 14″ × 6″ require a more thorough X-ray machine screening at designated entry points, rather than the general inspection line. Because so few bag types are allowed in the first place, the screening process at Crypto.com Arena tends to move quickly for guests who’ve already left noncompliant bags at home or stored them in a locker.
Packing Strategy for Faster Entry
- Default to no bag or small clutch: Default to no bag at all, or a clutch strictly under 5″ × 9″ × 1″ — this avoids the locker rental entirely.
- Never bring clear bags: Don’t bring a clear bag assuming it’ll pass; it’s prohibited here regardless of size.
- Use designated X-ray entry points: If you need a medical or parental bag, confirm it’s under 14″ × 14″ × 6″ and head to a designated X-ray screening entry point.
- Download the Binbox app early: Download the Binbox app in advance if you know you’re bringing a bag that won’t meet the size limits, so you’re not fumbling with a new app at the gate.
- Switch to plastic baby bottles: Pack baby supplies in plastic containers only — glass bottles will be turned away.
- Consolidate into pockets: Consolidate essentials into pockets or a small clutch rather than carrying multiple small items.
Security Check Anxiety Tips
If security screening makes you anxious, knowing in advance that Crypto.com Arena doesn’t allow clear bags — unlike most other arenas — can help you avoid a surprise at the gate that might otherwise catch you off guard. Bringing only a small clutch or no bag at all means a quicker, simpler inspection rather than the X-ray lane. If you do need a medical bag, remember that screening is standard procedure for every guest with one, not a sign of anything being wrong.
Day-of Entry Tips From BagPolicyInfo
- Clear bags don’t work here: This is the detail that trips up the most fans coming from other venues — leave the clear tote at home.
- Get the Binbox app ahead of time: If you’re bringing an oversized bag on purpose, download and set up the app before arriving.
- Glass baby bottles aren’t allowed: Switch to plastic bottles if you’re bringing formula or milk for an infant.
- Medical bags need the X-ray lane: Head to a designated screening entry point rather than a general line if your bag is medical or parental.
- When in doubt, go smaller: The 5″ × 9″ × 1″ clutch limit is tight — measure before you leave rather than guessing.
Category-Specific Packing Tips
Parents with infants: Baby supplies like plastic bottles, formula, and breast pumps are allowed within the 14″ × 14″ × 6″ parental bag limit, but glass bottles are banned — switch containers before you go.
Guests with medical needs: Keep medical bags under 14″ × 14″ × 6″ and be ready for X-ray screening at a designated entry point rather than general security.
Fans bringing anything oversized: Plan on the Binbox Locker near the Kobe Bryant Entrance, and have the app downloaded and payment set up beforehand to avoid delays.
Before You Go Checklist
- No Clear Bags: Confirmed no clear bag is being brought (they’re prohibited here)
- Clutch Sized: Clutch or wallet, if used, is under 5″ × 9″ × 1″
- Exception Bag Sized: Medical/parental bag, if used, is under 14″ × 14″ × 6″
- Containers Checked: Baby bottles are plastic, not glass
- Binbox Prepared: Binbox app downloaded if an oversized bag is coming along
- Prohibited Items Excluded: No standard backpacks, totes, fanny packs, or camera bags packed
