How We Check This Policy: At BagPolicyInfo, we pull bag rules directly from the venue’s official Bag Policy and Arena Policies pages, paying close attention to the tiered screening structure that some venues don’t spell out as clearly. We verify the exact size thresholds that determine express versus standard screening rather than collapsing them into a single size limit.
Official Bridgestone Arena Bag Policy Overview
For enhanced safety and speed of entry, Bridgestone Arena strongly discourages guests from bringing bags to events, urging fans to arrive early and travel light under the bridgestone arena bag policy. Backpacks of any size are prohibited outright, and bags larger than 12″ × 12″ × 6″ aren’t allowed at all. Bags measuring between 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ and 12″ × 12″ × 6″ — including clear bags and Nashville Locker Room bags — are subject to X-ray screening and visual inspection. Bags smaller than 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ may proceed through express screening lanes for a faster visual inspection under the bridgestone arena nashville bag policy. Diaper bags and bags needed for medical reasons are allowed but still go through X-ray screening. Bridgestone Arena does not provide on-site storage, so guests need to plan accordingly.
What Makes This Bridgestone Arena Policy Different
Bridgestone Arena’s tiered screening system is more granular than the simple “clear bag or nothing” approach used at many arenas — rather than one size cutoff, there are effectively three tiers: prohibited (over 12″ × 12″ × 6″ or any backpack), standard X-ray screening (6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ to 12″ × 12″ × 6″), and express screening (under 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″). This means guests who prioritize speed have a real incentive to downsize their bag beyond just meeting the maximum limit. The complete absence of a clear-bag requirement — bags don’t need to be clear at any size tier — also sets Bridgestone apart from the standard NFL/NBA clear-bag model used at many comparable venues.

Clear Bags
There’s no clear-bag requirement at Bridgestone Arena under the bridgestone arena bag policy. Clear bags are explicitly mentioned as one example of what falls into the standard X-ray screening tier (6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ to 12″ × 12″ × 6″), but opaque bags of the same size go through identical screening.
Small Clutches and Wristlets
Bags smaller than 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ qualify for express screening lanes, making this the fastest bag option if speed matters most to you.
Backpacks, Purses, and Crossbody Bags
Backpacks of any size are considered prohibited items and are not allowed into the arena under any circumstances. Purses and similar non-backpack bags up to 12″ × 12″ × 6″ are permitted, subject to the appropriate screening tier.
Diaper, Medical, and ADA Exceptions
Diaper bags and bags needed for medical reasons are allowed but are subject to X-ray screening regardless of size. Guests seeking additional accommodations beyond the standard exceptions are asked to contact Bridgestone Arena Customer Service at least 24 hours before their event.
Prohibited Bags and Items Under Bridgestone Arena Bag Rules
In addition to non-compliant bags, the following items and restrictions are strictly enforced:
- Backpacks of Any Kind: Backpacks of any size, including mini-backpacks and clear backpacks
- Oversized Bags: Bags larger than 12″ × 12″ × 6″
- Luggage & Travel Bags: Duffel bags, rolling luggage, suitcases, and computer briefcases
- Coolers: Hard and soft-sided cooler bags of any size
How Security Screening Works at Bridgestone Arena
Screening at Bridgestone Arena scales directly with bag size under the bridgestone arena bag policy. Bags between 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ and 12″ × 12″ × 6″ — including clear bags — go through X-ray screening and visual inspection. Bags smaller than 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ can use express screening lanes for a faster visual-only check. Diaper and medical bags go through X-ray screening regardless of their size. Since backpacks are prohibited entirely, there’s no screening tier that accommodates them at any size.
Packing Strategy for Faster Entry
- Aim for the express size limit: If speed matters most, aim for a bag under 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ to use the express screening lanes.
- Keep larger purses under 12″ × 12″ × 6″: If you need more room, stay under the bridgestone arena bag size limit of 12″ × 12″ × 6″ and expect standard X-ray screening.
- Leave backpacks at home: Skip backpacks entirely, regardless of size, since there’s no tier that allows them.
- Plan for X-ray with family/medical bags: If bringing a diaper or medical bag, expect X-ray screening regardless of how small it is.
- Notify Guest Services in advance: Contact Bridgestone Arena Customer Service at least 24 hours ahead if you need accommodations beyond the standard exceptions.
- Arrive ahead of gate rush: Arrive early, since the venue explicitly recommends this to offset the lack of on-site storage.
Security Check Anxiety Tips
If security lines add to your stress, choosing a bag under 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ means you can use the express lane rather than the more thorough X-ray screening, which can feel faster and less involved. Knowing that Bridgestone Arena doesn’t require clear bags at all also means you don’t need to hunt down a specific see-through bag before you go. Arriving early, as the venue recommends, gives you a buffer since there’s no on-site storage to fall back on if your bag doesn’t comply.
Day-of Entry Tips From BagPolicyInfo
- Size determines your screening lane: Under 6″ × 4″ × 1.5″ gets express screening; up to 12″ × 12″ × 6″ gets X-ray.
- No backpacks at any size: This is a hard rule with no size-based exception.
- No clear-bag requirement: Opaque and clear bags go through the same screening based on size alone.
- Contact Customer Service in advance for special accommodations: Reach out 24 hours ahead if your situation doesn’t fit the standard exceptions.
- No on-site storage exists: Arrive early and travel light, since there’s no fallback if your bag is prohibited.
Category-Specific Packing Tips

Concertgoers: Since Bridgestone Arena hosts major touring acts, check if your specific show has any additional bag guidance beyond the standard policy.
Parents with infants: Diaper bags are allowed but will go through X-ray screening regardless of size, so plan for that extra step at entry.
